
I spent several years at weight training and at competitive martial arts. I read so many books on muscle-building, dieting and weight training. I buried myself with magazine articles on nutrition and training. Try as I might, I slowly became fatter and fatter and lost all hope of ever achieving my fitness goals.
I eventually met Brian and Donna Logue and began training with them. They inspired me to compete in bodybuilding and put me on a program to lose fat and gain lean muscle tissue. The results were astounding! I discovered that many of the things I had come to believe about fat loss and muscle were half-truths and convoluted white lies. Plain and simple, diet was the key.
Endless ab crunches do nothing to give you a six-pack. Most of us tend to believe you "build" abs when, in fact, they're already there; you're born with them; that's their natural shape. Removing the layer of fat between them and your skin is the ONLY way to make them visible. That's accomplished through diet, not through endless crunches and sit-ups.
After training with the Logues for three years, I have attained a fitness level that is far beyond anything I ever dreamed myself capable of. I currently hold a number of titles in bodybuilding here in the province of Alberta including the 2004 Alberta Masters Champion and the 2004 Southern Alberta Heavyweight and Overall Champion. I will be competing in my first Canadian National competition in 2005.
